This role is based on-site in our Charlotte, NC office with 2 days per week work-from-home flexibility. Schleich USA, Inc., a trusted name in the global toy industry, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a
National Account Manager (NAM), leading our growing eCommerce business which includes Amazon.com (US, Canada, and Mexico), Walmart.com, and additional sites. This position will also work cross functionally with other sales team members to share knowledge and strategy for a cohesive and consistent management of eCommerce. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be an essential partner to these online retailers as well as our North American headquarters’ leadership team.
For this role, we need someone who can develop a strategy as well as ensure implementation. Fundamentals include understanding online account levers and making recommendations via sound business planning, inventing new processes, and taking ownership of customer and consumer challenges. The successful candidate will be intellectually curious and resourceful, an enthusiastic collaborator, an agile and open-minded business partner, and a customer-first analytical thinker. Due to the highly collaborative nature of the role, the NAM will be based with the rest of the Sales team in our Charlotte, NC office with 2 days per week of work-from-home flexibility.

Key responsibilities:- Develop the strategic business plan which will create an annual account forecast which is managed monthly, and work with the Analytics and Planning team to track the progress on an ongoing basis while working internally to signal demand changes to the Demand and Supply Planning and Operations team on the global level
- Manage sales P&L; plan and track account promotional and trade spending, communicate information internally to all relevant teams and manage operations metrics to minimize chargebacks
- Manage and develop an eCommerce Specialist in support of business needs, as well as a contractor support role • Manage Vendor Central and other online account platforms including purchase orders, claims, chargebacks, and shipping guidelines to ensure compliance
- Be a subject matter expert and take the lead in setting the online product portfolio and merchandising utilizing marketplace trends, consumer sales, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and promotional activations
- Actively support budgeting and business planning, reporting, and other critical portfolio management activities to ensure we are meeting partner commitments and building the foundation for future growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Demand & Supply Planning, Customer Service, and Operations) to build cohesive go-to-market strategies, manage inventory, analyze consumer sales, improve productivity, and complete day to day account maintenance
- Track weekly performance metrics and implement strategy to improve sales from both channel and SKU level
• Manage relationships with online retail accounts, building rapport with key stakeholders and supporting their account needs - Support capabilities enhancements to drive demand and best-in-class customer & consumer experiences
- Manage site development and launch activities, including working with Marketing on securing product descriptions, images, assets, banners and other attributes; to include development and execution of A+ content
- Work closely with eCommerce marketing team for integration of sales and advertising strategies in conjunction with external advertising agency
- Flexibility to contribute at all levels of the business from high level strategy to the day-to-day hands-on operations
- Be an eCommerce ambassador, demonstrating an enthusiasm to educate cross-functional partners across the organization on eCommerce
Work experience and other requirements: - 8+ years of outside sales or account management experience with a requirement of 5+ years of direct eCommerce experience with Amazon
- 2+ years’ experience managing people or teams
- Toy or children's product experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to travel – up to 20% required, including occasional weekends
- Strong knowledge of internet marketing tactics and strategy
- Proficiency in Amazon Vendor Central and Walmart Retail Link (preferred)
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Must be a closer with ability to negotiate deals
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficient with MS Office with advanced Excel required – lookups, pivot tables
Education Requirements- Bachelor's degree, master’s desired
